The announcement of the iPhone 5S and 5C in mid September was met with a sizeable dose of scepticism from industry critics. With the “cheap” 5C costing £479 and the “revolutionary” iPhone 5S boasting little more than a fingerprint scanner, a number of analysts were writing obituaries for Apple’s status as the leading innovator in the industry.
But despite a number of people casting doubt on the handsets likely success, 9 million people snapped up one of Apple’s new phones within three days of the launch; a feat that phones such as the Galaxy S4 took months to achieve.

We caught up with Keith Andrew, Editor in Chief at Pocket Gamer Biz, to work out the answer to this on The App Show.
And, as if that wasn’t enough, we also spoke to Robert Kinder of Jagex about their first free to play game, Carnage Racing, as well as one of the figures behind award winning satnav app Copilot, David Quin.
